Singer - Songwriter
After many years behind the scenes, composing and producing songs for others, Yuval has decided to move to the front and perform some of his own songs (as well as sometimes, other people’s songs) and is currently creating two solo albums. One in Hebrew for the Israeli market and the other in English. Both albums are still in the works, but in the meantime, here are a few samples…
Not Waiting Anymore
Created for the Israeli market, this album is entirely in Hebrew, and is the mutual creation of renowned lyricist Hana Goldberg, and Composer Yuval Shrem, and Yuval Shrem’s first solo album as a performer.
The album is officially supported by ACUM, and the first single from it “There’s no Captain in the Spaceship” Has already been released and broadcast on Israeli radio stations across the country, and has received rave reviews on major Israeli music blogs.
Let the Journey Begin
Still in its early stages of development, this album is Yuval’s first solo album in English, and is also quite different than Not Waiting Anymore. The title song Let the Journey Begin is a-typical to the otherwise upbeat album.
In this playlist there’s also an English version to an Israeli song by a good friend of Yuval’s, which may or may not end up in the actual album. Both songs included here are still at the demo stage.
Songwriting for others
Over the years, Yuval Shrem wrote and composed many songs performed by others. Here is a small collection.
